After 10 years as a band and 4 albums we have decided what the next step in the evolution of Sabaton will be.

A contract with the biggest Heavy Metal label in the world has been signed and the next album will be released by Nuclear Blast in the spring of 2010.

The last album "The Art of War" touched the hearts of tousands and tousands of metalfans around the world, and with their help we are now ready to hit the studio and record our new album.

CHARRED WALLS OF THE DAMNED was produced by Jason Suecof and recorded at his Orlando, FL based studio, Audiohammer Studios, and boasts an all-star lineup consisting of some of metal's most talented musicians. Richard Christy, former drummer for Death and Iced Earth, comedian, and radio personality on the legendary Howard Stern Show on Sirius-XM Satellite Radio, on drums. Famed producer Jason Suecof who has produced and/or mixed some of the most prominent albums from metal's leading bands, including: Trivium, All That Remains, The Black Dahlia Murder, Chimaira, DevilDriver and many, many more, on guitars. Tim "Ripper" Owens, who fronted heavy metal legends Judas Priest from 1996 to 2002, performed alongside Richard in Iced Earth from 2003 to 2004, and currently performs with Beyond Fear and Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force, on vocals. And one of metal's most heralded bassists, Steve Digiorgio, who played alongside Richard in the bands Control Denied and Iced Earth, and has also performed with Death, Autopsy, Testament, Vintersorg, and is a founding member of technical thrash pioneers Sadus.

WINTERFYLLETH Sign To Candlelight Records

Formed in 2007 with the intention of honoring England’s proud ancestral heritage and rich national culture, WINTERFYLLETH (comprised of members culled from the UK’s most devastating doom contingent Atavist) set a solidified mission statement to bring awareness to England’s historical stories, folklore, landscapes and ancestral past through their folk-influenced vitriolic black metal.

Coining the term English Heritage Black Metal (EHBM), WINTERFYLLETH -- which translates to "Winter Full Moon" from the Olde English language -- represents the first full moon in October as well as the Anglo-Saxon festival of the arrival of winter. The band generated a massive response from the underground with their Rising of the Winter Full Moon demo leading to their union with Profound Lore Records. Rising of the Winter Full Moon displayed a fierce focused vision on what WINTERFYLLETH wanted to achieve through their music, and with their The Ghost of Heritage debut, that vision became even more solidified and fleshed out.

By combining vicious yet moody folk inspired black metal that harkens back to the early days of Enslaved and early Ulver, WINTERFYLLETH also conjure feelings and moods reminiscent of Drudkh, Hate Forest and Forefather, while forging new ground to lead the recent black metal movement in the UK. Lyrically, the band delve into tales of England’s archaic history, recounting major events and battles and drawing inspiration from certain sites that grace the countryside of England.

The band recently signed to Candlelight Records for the release of their forthcoming 2010 album The Mercian Sphere.

BARREN EARTH’S ‘OUR TWILIGHT’ OUT NOW

ACHERON – “I am Heathen” music video (World Premiere)

Black/Death Metal cult legends ACHERON will be unveiling their new music video for the song “I am Heathen” (featured on their new album “THE FINAL CONFLICT: Last Days Of God”) on WWW.YOUTUBE.COM this Saturday, November 21st, 2009. This is the first professionally filmed music video the band has done in their 20 plus years of existence. Band frontman Vincent Crowley explains the concept behind the video.



“The video is about embracing the life of being a Heathen. Many people struggle with what is wrong or right, good or evil. When they go against the norm, the guilt eats away at them. Heathens don’t have negative feeling about embracing their true nature. Temptation doesn’t weaken us because in the end we control it! Lots of the symbolism in the video shows just that.”



ACHERON filmed this video with WERNER VIDEOS SERVICES and was directed by Aaron Werner. The video features the band line-up of Vincent Crowley, Kyle Severn, Max Otworth, Ash Thomas and special appearances by actress Madison Riley.

HAZY HAMLET - Sign Deal with Dark Sun Records

Brazilian classic metal group HAZY HAMLET has closed a deal for distribution of its Forging Metal album with label Dark Sun Records. According to a press release, the band believes that together they will be able to achieve a better album promotion taking it to places not yet reached and thus fighting the piracy that has been shaking music scene, mainly the fragile metallic one."

WITHIN TEMPTATION - Release Acoustic Live Album in December

Symphonic rock outfit WITHIN TEMPTATION will release a forthcoming live album, An Acoustic Night at the Theatre, due out December 15. The release will be available via all digital music providers, while physical copies will be available exclusively at the newly-launched Roadrunner Records web store, http://store.roadrunnerrecords.com/.



In November 2008, Within Temptation embarked on a sold-out, intimate theatre tour in their native Europe, complete with seated audiences. The setup afforded the band the opportunity to rearrange several classics from its extensive catalogue to suit an acoustic performance. The album was recorded at the Muziekcentrum Frits Philips in Eindhoven, Holland on November 30 of last year. The performance was beautifully captured and demonstrates the simplified and stripped down side of the band.



Guitarist Robert Westerholt explained, “I was fascinated by the idea of giving our audience a much more individual experience by focusing on the essence of our songs and reducing the show to a minimum. At the same time the acoustic arrangements and sounds let you hear different influences in our music. For example, some Celtic elements which I think come out best when played acoustically.” Vocalist Sharon den Adel adds, “To show this other side of Within Temptation has been a dream of mine for quite some time. It was great to see that not only our existing fans but also people seeing us for the first time enjoyed it so much.”



Special guests include Life of Agony’s vocalist Keith Caputo for the single “What Have You Done.” Caputo guested on the album version, so it was only appropriate that he contributed to the live song, as well. Additionally, The Gathering’s Anneke van Giersbergen joins den Adel for a powerful partnership on “Somewhere.”



Of additional note, the album also contains the brand new song Utopia, written during the rehearsals for the theatre tour. A duet with UK singer-songwriter Chris Jones (who Sharon met while working with world-famous DJ Armin van Buuren on his track In And Out Of Love), Utopia will also be available as a digital single prior to the album release. The band are set to film a video shortly with director Oscar Verpoort. Poignantly written, Utopia is about two lovers who can't be together because they are separated by their contrasting dreams of the ideal life. "The only way to be together is for one of them to sacrifice their dream,” clarifies Sharon. “It really is about this one moment that we each inevitably experience: reaching a point in your life where you have to decide what you want your future to look like."

OVERLORDE's Mark 'M.E.' Edwards' msuic in indie film

Debuting at the Tromadance New Mexico 2009 film festival on November 21st will be the independent film Defective Man! (SB-Films). It is the first film to feature songs written and recorded by Mark 'M.E.' Edwards (OVERLORDE) as a solo artist, and the second release featuring a song written by him (the straight to DVD release Altitude Sickness: Into Thin Air by Ace in the Hole Productions featured Edwards' song 'Snow Giant' performed by his heavy metal band Overlorde.

Defective Man! is the story of two co-workers who, after being injured in a chemical accident, become not-so-super heroes... The film will air at 2:45 pm.

MEGADETH's Dave Mustaine not happy with record label?

MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has issued the following update:

"I hope that everyone that is in a band and has been watching how things have transpired are taking notes. This record has been out for weeks and weeks, and no radio play from the radio person at Roadrunner, nothing. Zero.

But that should be expected; this is the same guy I HAD TO ASK to get me interviews. Talk about a Gomer moment!

Now, I am going to be forced to rely on my own radio station to play Megadeth, but that's ok, I seem to be doing the label's job everyday, in every city, and I am used to it after these last two records.

I am waiting to talk to the owner of Roadrunner, and all I ask is that you pray that this guy has even a modicum of respect for me and how hard I have been working for him. And he get's the lionshare of the revenue, while I get news that with the best record I have recorded in decades has now dropped off of the charts.

Kudos Roadrunner, the is the first worldwide critically acclaimed record by the press, and the fans, and you just can't seem to get this right. This is the first time that everyone likes a record of mine, and you can't get us on the radio or into the stores.

I can't tell you how many stores I go into while on tour and I see nothing. And all I hear from RR is we are committed to the record.

SYLOSIS in the studio!

Reading based modern thrashers SYLOSIS entered the studio last Friday to record the follow up to 2008s successful debut Conclusion Of An Age.

The band is working with Scott Atkins who worked on the predecessor.

Commented mainman Josh Middleton: "We're ridiculously excited about starting work on the next album. We're definitely progressing as a band, incorporating some new influences to make an album that's more mature, darker and generally a lot heavier. I've been writing riffs thinking things like "what if (TOOL guitarist) Adam Jones played guitar in DEATH“ haha. The songs are a little longer this time around and a bit more complex and technical which is something that's just happened naturally.

We're just about to start tracking the drums for ten days with producer Scott Atkins. We contemplated using other producers but we all really enjoyed working with Scott and we were really happy with the production on the last album. He really pushes for tightness and understands where we're coming from musically. In terms of the production, this time we're going to aim for a much more organic, raw sound. Rob's really progressed as a drummer in the last year so I can't wait to hear him lay this stuff down in the studio. Once the drums are complete we head off on tour with DRAGONFORCE so we wont end up recording the guitars, bass and vocals etc until January."

The mighty Behemoth will once again be returning to North American soil in 2010! This is their first tour in the region since their massively successful summer with the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Fest. DRAGONFORCE TO REISSUE FIRST TWO ALBUMS

DRAGONFORCE have their first two studio albums – 'Valley Of The Damned' and 'Sonic Firestorm' – re-issued on February 22nd 2010 via Spinefarm Records UK.

Both titles will now be available with updated packaging and bonus audio/DVD content, some of it exclusive to these releases.

FORMED IN 1999, Dragonforce issued their 'Valley Of The Damned' debut in 2003 - an impressive nine-track showcase for their accomplished power metal forays. Containing a host of songs that still rank amongst the most popular of their output, the likes of 'Black Fire', 'Evening Star' and the title track itself, 'VOTD' has now been Remixed and Remastered to allow every aspect of the recordings to make maximum impact…

"Fans who have heard the original mixes many times might find that the songs sound a bit different now," observes guitarist Herman Li, "but that's how we always wanted the original songs to sound. We just didn’t have the time back then to make everything the way we wanted."

The studio track, 'Where Dragons Rule', has now been added to the audio side, and there is a bonus DVD featuring never-before-seen live footage ('Valley Of The Damned', filmed in Japan), behind-the-scenes material (also from Japan), video commentaries, plus in-studio interviews and clips (shot in Denmark and the UK), all of it lovingly assembled by Li himself.

2004 SAW the release of follow-up album, 'Sonic Firestorm', which gave the band the chance to hone their skills and push their fast-lane tales of fantasy to a whole new level. They were happy with 'Sonic…' at the time and remain so to this day, which is why the mixing and the mastering have been left just as they are; however, the packaging has been upgraded, an extra track added ('Cry Of The Brave' - a song the group felt uncomfortable taking off first time around), and - as with 'Valley…' - a bonus DVD added, this one featuring live footage from Japan ('Fury Of The Storm'), video commentaries plus freshly recorded interviews with the band members themselves.

As a way of celebrating the recordings that effectively launched DF's international career, both re-issued albums will be included in a limited edition boxset along with exclusive band merchandise and various collectible items.

BARREN EARTH’S ‘OUR TWILIGHT’ EP OUT NOW

EVILE ANNOUNCES 2010 EUROPEAN HEADLINING TOUR

British thrashers EVILE have confirmed a full European headlining tour for 2010.

EVILE will kick off the "Infecting Nations" tour in January with a string of UK shows, before heading off to mainland Europe for the rest of the tour. The tour will mark the band's first official shows since the tragic passing of their bassist, MIKE ALEXANDER, on October 5th.

The Haunted Remain Main Support On Slayer Tour

Swedish Thrashers THE HAUNTED have confirmed they will still be the main support on SLAYER's rescheduled UK dates.

Speaking about the dates, frontman Peter Dolving stated:

Since the very first The Haunted record we've enjoyed great support from Slayer and we've talked many times about how cool it would be to support our favorite band in the world. Slayer are without competition the one band that's inspired and motivated us over the years. SLAYER Vocalist/bassist Tom Araya has been under the care of a specialist for a back injury, and while he has already made substantial improvement, he is continuing on with doctor-prescribed treatment, resulting in the dates being postponed.

"Right now," said Slayer's manager, Rick Sales, "our main concern must be the full and permanent recovery of Tom, so we have decided to clear the calendar and give him the extra time he needs to concentrate solely on good health."

RONNIE JAMES DIO Hospitalized

Classic Rock earlier reported that DIO have cancelled their entire UK tour, which was scheduled to launch in Glasgow, Scotland on November 21st.

In an update, "According to Ronnie James Dio’s wife and manager, Wendy, the singer has been hospitalized. She did not go into details. However, the dates are not being rescheduled, and ticket holders should return to the point of purchase and get refunds."

HYPOCRISY Cancel North American Tour

Legendary Swedish death metallers, HYPOCRISY, have issued the following statement in regards to their tour with ENSIFERUM and their current troubles with U.S. immigration:

“We regretfully have to officially announce the cancellation of our tour in North America. We’ve tried everything so far and it seems like the process will take longer than expected for one of the members in the band. We will try to come back as soon as possible, as we want to show our US fans that we care for them and we are ready to play the new songs live!”


Previously HYPOCRISY had been in holding mode, fully expecting to join the tour that was already in progress at a later date. In an earlier statement the band explained their situation:

“Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are forced to stay home until U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services process and authorize our working visas. This is the first time the band has faced a situation like this and it’s extremely frustrating, as well as depressing, since the last thing we want to do is disappoint our loyal fans who have waited years to see us live in the US. We filed for our visas with plenty of time, but as some probably don’t know, the US government has changed its rules when it comes to visas issued to artists so it’s become tougher. Even if we have already toured the US numerous times.”


HYPOCRISY had enlisted the help of CHILDREN OF BODOM guitarist/frontman Alexi Laiho to temporarily fill the vacant 2nd guitarist spot on this tour alongside ENSIFERUM, EX DEO, BLACKGUARD and SWASHBUCKLE.

Slayer, Megadeth Announce "American Carnage" Tour

Slayer. Megadeth. Two names synonymous with fierce, crunching power. Two bands whose histories are inevitably intertwined in defining the thrash/metal genre. Individually, their respective prowess and accomplishments are impressive; but together, they're brutal and unstoppable. Megadeth and Slayer will join forces to co-headline "American Carnage," the most blistering, the most explosive, and the most eagerly-antcipated mega-tour of the winter - and you do not want to miss it.

"American Carnage" will kick off on January 18 in Seattle, WA for a 26-date trek across North America that will include the six Canadian dates postponed earlier this month. Tickets for most shows go on sale this Friday, November 20. Ticketmaster is offering a special presage for most shows from Wednesday, November 18 at 10AM until Thursday, November 19 at 10PM.

"American Carnage" is the first time that Slayer and Megadeth will have toured the U.S. together since 1991's epic "Clash of the Titans" tour. To celebrate that, and in recognition of the tough economic times that many of their fans are having, Megadeth and Slayer have decided to roll back the price of a chunk of tickets at every U.S. show to the "1991 price" of $10.00. These specially-priced tickets will be limited and when they're gone, they're gone. Megadeth has also teamed with iloveallaccess.com to provide an Ultimate Fan Package including premium seats, meet and greets, pre-show parties and more.

In addition, Testament, who was also on the '91 "Clash of the Titans" bill, will be Special Guests on the entire tour, marking the first time that all three bands have shared a stage together in more than 18 years, and making this a "must see" metal event.

Both Megadeth and Slayer will hit the road supporting new albums: Megadeth's 2009 album, ENDGAME, and Slayer's World Painted Blood, the band's 10th studio venture, which hit stores November 3. Testament's The Formation of Damnation: Special Tour Edition, will be released on February 23, 2010 with special unreleased bonus tracks.

Slayer and Megadeth have already massacred territories together outside of the U.S., first with four explosive dates in June 2009 across Western Canada - "Canadian Carnage" - marking the first time the bands had shared a stage anywhere in 18 years; and then six co-headlining "Carnage" dates in Australia followed in October.

According to various Canadian press outlets last summer: "It was a night of thrash impossible to trash..." "Tales about war, death, destruction, Satan, aliens and serial killers have never been so much fun..." "The two heavy metal heavyweights...went head-to-head on a level playing field. Both bands brought their 'A' game. And the results were anything but pretty - unless you include pretty freakin' loud and pretty freakin' awesome."

Slayer. Few bands come close to matching the intensity that Slayer - guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, vocalist/bassist Tom Araya, and drummer Dave Lombardo - bring to its live shows, having been named "Best Live Band" by numerous media outlets including Revolver, SPIN, and Metal Hammer. World Painted Blood offers a Slayer-ized point of view of our world - God's terrifying global genocide, the chaos of our broken political system, the way-too-close proximity of world horrors that technology has brought us, and a chilling hypothesis of how the rest of the world might view America. The album was recorded in Los Angeles over two time periods, during October 2008 and then between late January and March 2009. World Painted Blood was produced by Greg Fidelman who has spent time in the studio with Metallica, the Gossip, the (International) Noise Conspiracy, Slipknot and others, and executive produced by long-time Slayer colleague Rick Rubin, who suggested Fidelman for the project. One reviewer called the album "the heaviest, bloodiest and best album in almost two decades." Fans got a couple of early morsels of the brutal new Slayer material -- "Psychopathy Red," a Hanneman song inspired by the heinous Russian serial killer Andrei Chikatilo, who confessed to savagely murdering 56 children, was recorded last October and then leaked online. Then, the King-penned track, "Hate Worldwide," was made available in July as a limited-edition single through Hot Topic. For "American Carnage," Slayer's Tom Araya promises, "no ballads, no acoustic numbers, no slow tempos."

Megadeth. 2009 saw the release of ENDGAME, which has been heralded as Megadeth's best album in years. It's the record where it all comes full circle in a career that has not only set standards in hard rock and metal, but defined them. Megadeth's signature shredding and rousing lyrics are the hallmarks of ENDGAME, with vocalist/guitarist Dave Mustaine once musing and making declarations about the world we live in, having named the album after a government document that should strike fear in the hearts of Americans! But that's Mustaine and Megadeth, using the vehicle of music to shake things up, to make a point and to rattle your brain, literally, figuratively and sonically. Revolver magazine said of ENDGAME, "One of their best albums." VH1's 'That Metal Show' deemed it "One of the metal albums of the year," and Popmatters said, "the record positively scorches with an intensity not heard since Rust in Peace ."

Legendary thrash metal titans Testament, whose latest award-winning release (2008 Album of the Year, Metal Hammer's Golden God Award) The Formation of Damnation, displays them as the quintessential modern heavy metal band, whose experience and accumulated skill allows them to attack with reserves of anger, energy and finesse that make them more powerful than ever. Lead singer Chuck Billy says, "Uniting these bands is the heavy metal event of generations. We are so proud to be a part of it."

Slayer and Megadeth are also rescheduling the east coast leg of the "Canadian Carnage tour, postponed from this fall.

Queensryche's Geoff Tate Announces New White Wine

Katatonia Annouce New Music Video

MUNICIPAL WASTE DRENCHED BUT NOT DEFEATED

Last night in Houston, TX at The Meridian just as MUNICIPAL WASTE were getting warmed up for their show a freak flood occurred inside the venue. During Goatwhore’s set, a fan decided it would be a good idea to climb on the pipes in the ceiling. Little did he know, that climbing the pipes would pull down one of the pipes causing the sprinkler system to go off and flood the venue.



The WASTE guys were in their dressing room and the fire alarm started to go off. Lead singer Tony Foresta went to the stage to find pipes shooting water everywhere. Everyone emptied out of the club into the street for the time being. The band grabbed all of their gear and brought it out of the venue and into the street.



After an hour of confusion the band and the promoter decided to move the show into another room in the same venue. Once the decision was made, word of mouth got out on the street, and all of a sudden there was a larger crowd then originally had shown up for the flooded show. The band took the stage for a much longer set then usual and played crowd requests as well and in their opinion had the best show of the tour so far.



Singer Tony Foresta had the following to say about flood:



“We tried our best in a weird situation and made it better for everybody. It would not have been possible without all of the kids who hung out, and all of the kids who showed up afterward to make this a show we will never forget!”



Drummer Dave Witte chimed in as well:

"There was no way that we were gonna let something like that stop us from playing. That's why we tour, to play music and have a great time. It would have been unfair to the fans for us to not deliver! The fans support us, so we regrouped and played an even longer set than normal, it was awesome!"



Guitarist Ryan Waste got caught in the flood as well:

"All I could see was black water pouring from the ceiling. The crowd was still hungry for more so we couldn't let them down. We had to pull it together and it turned out to be one of the raddest shows of the tour."

MERRIMACK post new video clip, UNCENSORED!

French black metal legends MERRIMACK recently finished their long-awaited video clip to the song "In The Halls of White Death," from their recently released MORIBUND album Grey Rigorism. Two weeks ago, Youtube banned the video for its controversial content. Then, the video was posted on DailyMotion.com, but that was also banned just as immediately. Commenting on the video's completion, guitarist Perversifier states, "We're proud to finally reveal our new video clip. SACRIFICE - European Release Announced For The Ones I Condem

Canadian thrashers SACRIFICE will see their new album, The Ones I Condemn, released in Europe on January 22nd via Cyclone Empire.

The Ones I Condemn is the first album with the original Sacrifice members since 1991 and was recorded at Rouge Valley Studio in Toronto with engineer Darius Szczepaniak, mastered in Brazil by Sidney Sohn, with artwork by Michael Rosner.

Already originally released this summer in Brazil by Marquee Records, Cyclone Empire will release the album in a digi-pak edition with an exclusive bonus track for Europe.

TARJA TURUNEN was fired from NIGHTWISH over 4 years ago, but the drama around it keeps on going. Now Tarja's husband, Marcelo Cabuli, and 3 other men are suing parties behind the Nightwish book for slander.

The indictment has been sent to Like Kustannus Oy (publishing house) and to it's CEO Päivi Isosaari and also to the author of the book, Marko Ollila.

According to Marceloo Cabuli, the views written in the book about him and his businesses are completely false.

Päivi Isosaari from Like Kustannus however stands behind the book that was released 2006.

"Well I did read the text and I authorized it to be published and therefore I stand behind the book.", Isosaari stated in Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat.

The book criticised very strongly how Cabuli operated in Nightwish. According to the book, Cabuli - who at the time was already Tarja Turunen's husband - was partially the reason behind the break-up between Nightwish and Tarja Turunen.

SLAYER POSTPONES UK/EUROPEAN TOUR

It is with immense disappointment that Slayer must postpone its UK and European tour that had been set to kick off on November 18 in the UK, and take the band on 19 dates through Europe, ending on December 17 in Germany. The tour will be rescheduled to kick off on March 7 in Manchester, England (complete itinerary is below).

Vocalist/bassist Tom Araya has been under the care of a specialist for a back injury, and while he has already made substantial improvement, he is continuing on with doctor-prescribed treatment.

"Right now," said Slayer's manager, Rick Sales, "our main concern must be the full and permanent recovery of Tom, so we have decided to clear the calendar and give him the extra time he needs to concentrate solely on good health."

Last week, Slayer announced the postponement of it's east coast "Canadian Carnage" co-headline tour with Megadeth; those dates will be rescheduled in February 2010.

Trevor Peres, guitarist of long running Florida death metal legends OBITUARY, recently launched his own Bar-B-Que sauce line. Dubbed T-Bone's Famous, Peres' "Original Rib'Licous Bar-B-Que Sauce" has "a sweet and tangy flavor with a blend of mild spices and a hint of hickory smoke." In a word: Awesome. Peres will be releasing additional flavors -- Spicy Rib Rub, Sweet Chicken Rub and Spicy Hot Bar-B-Que -- in the coming weeks.

Elaborated Peres of his new venture: "My nickname came from the band Agnostic Front on our tour together back in 1992. Ever since then everyone has called me T-Bone. The passion for cookin' began when I was a child in Jacksonville, Florida, with my grandpa John Landregan, who was a cook in the U.S. Navy. He was always cookin' up somethin' good in the kitchen. Naturally, this gave me the desire to learn. After a few years in the kitchen, I turned to the great outdoors and started to bar-b-que. 'Sonic Altar' Set To Record Debut Album

New Zealand Based Band 'Sonic Altar' Set To Record Debut Album With World Class Producer

Hard Rock/Heavy Metal group Sonic Altar are preparing to record their debut album with UK producer Mike Exeter who will be making the journey down to New Zealand to work with the band in late November.

Exeter has worked with many bands and artists, such as Black Sabbath, Cradle of Filth, Ian Gillan of Deep Purple fame and more. Sonic Altar have been working hard in the very much underground, harder-edged rock scene in New Zealand for the better part of 4 years. The band have had some success such as coming 3rd in the World Battle of the Bands in 2006 and playing the Rock2Wgtn festival in 2008 alongside bands such as Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne and KISS. The young kiwi band (with an average age of 21) are "Completely over the moon to be working with someone of that caliber," says guitarist Tom Duffy. "We were all fans of Mike's last album (The Devil You Know) which he produced with the Dio lineup of Black Sabbath who now go under the name Heaven and Hell. It sounded massive!"

Producer Mike Exeter believes wholeheartedly in the band and "That's why I'm coming all that way!" he says. "There's nothing better than working with talented creative artists and I think there's just 'something' about Sonic Altar. I'm confident we are starting on a really great project that is just the beginning for these guys. I think we're all excited about unleashing this!"

"We have a feeling this album is going to be something extremely special," says vocalist/frontman Kane Bennett. "We've been working for over a year on the songs that are going on the record, making sure they are all the best they can be. There will be something for every type of rock fan on there. We don't want to be tied down to any particular metal or rock genre. If we want to put a ballad on, then we will. Or a power ballad, should I say. And if we want a big epic 8 minute apocolyptic sounding rock out tune on there, then so be it."

The band hopes to see the album in stores sometime in early 2010 but "don't want to rush it out independently," says Bennett. "After all this hard work and the hard work that's still to come, we won't be rushing it out just to have 5 copies scattered through a few music stores in our local mall. We'll be hunting down a record label who appreciates our vision and believes in the record like we do. At least... That's the plan."

I’d describe “Desire & Truth” as a very heavy, guitar oriented album, yet still melodic in terms of vocals and songwriting. It’s taken a long time to complete but I simply didn’t want to rush this 2nd release and honestly couldn’t be happier with the results.

If compared to the last album, I’d say this one’s heavier, more intense in terms of both vocals and guitar playing but most importantly still based on the songs first and foremost. I really hope people give it a listen.”

The Ocean - New vocalist, working on 2 new albums

The Ocean confirm new vocalist, continue work on TWO new albums!
Germany's The Ocean have issued an update on their vocalist situation and the progress of their follow up to 2007's epic double-disc master piece, Precambrian.

After many weeks in the dark, The Ocean have finally found a new vocalist. "We are happy to announce Mr. Loïc Rossetti as tour new vocalist. "We are looking forward to weeks and months of intense touring in the future and a new era in the story of our lives!", comments Robin Staps.

"Having Loïc in the band enables me to do what I've always wanted to do with this band. His voice is strong and expressive and his variety of tone and the ease with which he switches between different vocal styles really amazing. There are no limits anymore. His screams are devastating, but his most valuable quality is his singing voice, which we will employ much more on the upcoming album.”

Comments Loïc Rossetti: "Being part of The Ocean is a great honour for me. I can utilize the full spectre of my voice, and the band is pushing me to do so…it's a great challenge."

Over the course of the past 6 months, the band has received more than 150 applications from people from all over the world. "Many have recorded vocals for 'The City in the Sea' and there was a lot of good stuff coming in. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to try out, we truly appreciate it!", comments Jonathan Nido.

The addition of Rossetti marks the final step in a recent development within the band: after 8 years of existence, The Ocean has recently been transforming from a collective into a band. This doesn't mean that there will not be changes of line-up ever again: "I have been playing music long enough to know that people are usually in this for a limited time", comments Staps, "but the people I am working with now are the people I have always been looking for, and naturally, everyone else is much more involved than ever before."

The collective is not dead. As a matter of fact, the upcoming album will feature the largest number of additional musicians to date, mainly classical players. The band has spent the better part of the year working feverishly on their upcoming two albums which are due for March and September 2010 releases. More news will follow soon.

Rock and roll icon Carmine Appice will make a special appearance at J&R Music and Computer World on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 6:00PM to celebrate the release of his latest Guitar Zeus album “Conquering Heroes” with a short performance, followed by an autograph signing session.

Fuel Records released the Guitar Zeus project by legendary drummer Carmine Appice, featuring a compilation of 24 of the best Guitar Zeus songs. Conquering Heroes hit the streets on August 25th. The double-disc set showcases the prolific talents of many world renowned rock guitarists including Brian May, Ted Nugent, Slash, Zakk Wylde, Richie Sambora, and many more. Since that time, Appice has been on a whirlwind publicity and instore campaign.

Author, clinician, drummer... Carmine Appice first came to prominence as the percussionist with the late 1960s psychedelic band Vanilla Fudge. He contributed distinctive background harmonies with bassist Tim Bogert, adding to the group's high decibel sonic assault. After five albums, Appice and Bogert left Vanilla Fudge to form the blues rock quartet Cactus with vocalist Rusty Day and guitarist Jim McCarty. Eventually, Appice left Cactus with Bogert to join Jeff Beck in the power trio Beck, Bogert & Appice, and then later joined Rod Stewart's backing band in 1977, co-writing hit songs such as "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" and "Young Turks". In 1978, Appice played drums on Paul Stanley's first solo album. He was a member of KGB featuring Ray Kennedy, Rick Grech, Mike Bloomfield and Barry Goldberg, and has recorded with Stanley Clarke, Ted Nugent, and Pink Floyd. He was the drummer for the bands King Kobra and Blue Murder, and toured with Ozzy Osbourne.

Appice first created Guitar Zeus in 1995 when he recruited some of the most famous guitarists in the world to be a part of his project, from Zakk Wylde and Ted Nugent to Brian May (Queen) and Slash (Guns N Roses), even tennis legend John McEnroe. Songs also included guest vocals by Dug Pinnick and Edgar Winter. Throughout the late 1990's, three Guitar Zeus CDs were released to worldwide critical acclaim.

"Guitar Zeus for me was an amazing experience, working with so many great guitarists", Appice affirms. "It was fun picking out songs for each. Each guitarist loved the songs. It was awesome. I would do it again in a minute even though it was alot of work. I consider these drum tracks to be some of my best drum performances in my career!"

FEAR FACTORY "Powershifter" As I-Tunes Exclusive

I-Tunes today premieres “Powershifter,” the first song from Fear Factory’s upcoming new album as an exclusive digital download. Due in stores February 9th, Mechanize is the first album to feature the lineup of vocalist Burton C. Bell, returning guitarist Dino Cazares, bassist Byron Stroud and veteran drummer Gene Hoglan. The anticipated album also welcomes back keyboardist/producer Rhys Fulber (Front Line Assembly).

Announced last week, Mechanize bridges the musical gap between between 1995’s groundbreaking Demanufacture and 1998’s more texturally nuanced Obsolete. While the album is instantly reminiscent of Fear Factory’s most potent moments of discovery, it’s hardly a stroll down the old assembly line. Through a combination of technological advancements and experience, Fear Factory have evolved like a computer virus, constantly reconfiguring itself to maximize its destructive impact.

In the six years that have passed since Fear Factory originally splintered, lots of transformation has taken place. Bell has formed the gothic rock band Ascension Of The Watchers and recently formed the new band City Of Fire (also featuring Stroud with Terry Murray and Bob Wagner of ShoCore) while Cazares has put out two Divine Heresy discs and toured extensively. Stroud and Hoglan have recorded and toured with Strapping Young Lad, Zimmers Hole and Dethklok. For Bell, the myriad of projects have only provided creative ideas and inspiration for Fear Factory. He notes, “in this day and age you gotta keep busy. You can’t just rely on one band; something we’ve all learned from time and years of experience. Not only is it good to support yourself, but it also keeps you going creatively.”

“This is definitely a different chapter for us and I think it’s the best thing we’ve ever done,” Cazares adds. “Obviously, Burton and I have grown up and we’ve pretty much perfected what we do. More importantly we’ve discovered why we so were good together in the first place. Our combination just works. IN SLUMBER - "Arcane Divine Subspecies" out now

Austrian death metallers IN SLUMBER, who feature in their ranks vocalist and songwriter Wolfgang Rothbauer (THIRDMOON, EISBLUT, GODHATECODE), have announced the addition of bassist Kay Brem (ELUVEITIE) to the group's ranks.

IN SLUMBER finaly released its third album, entitled "Arcane Divine Subspecies" on 6th of november 2009 via TWILIGHT ZONE RECORDS. The CD was mixed and mastered in Denmark by Peter "Ziggy" Siegfriedsen and Tue Madsen.

IN SLUMBER's sophomore album, "Scars: Incomplete", was released in March 2007 via Massacre Records. Formed in 2002, IN SLUMBER recorded its debut CD "Stillborn Rebirth" the following year.

NEW AVANTASIA WILL BE A DOUBLE ALBUM

AVANTASIA mastermind Tobias Sammet has decided that there is too much material to put it all on one album. So the next chapter of Avantasia will be spread over two albums. Says Tobias:

"I have always given my very best, but this new chapter in Avantasia's history is too much and too ambitious to be just a regular album. I have worked on it for years now, and it has become even more than two albums! I don't know if I will release one first, or both simultaneously, or maybe even both in one special package. The production is so massive and I have so many guests this time. It's the continuation of the "Scarecrow"-story. I knew that story would be spread out over two albums back then when we started working on it in 2006, cause we had written a real Rock Opera of over 20 songs even back then. But since then we kept composing, and out came even bigger and better material. Sometimes you don’t have a single good idea for months, whereas at another point it just keeps flowing. "The Scarecrow" was a huge success, with that success backing me up, it's inspiring to be able to do things big time! Looking at the music industry today with all the CD burning and downloading I guess in the near future many of us traditional Rock and Metal bands won't be able to spend such a production budget, I am afraid I won't be able to afford so many guests and such a big production with orchestration and a choir and all that. That's why this production takes so much time, it may be the last big epic I will be able to afford, and I want it to be the biggest piece I have worked on so far."

So far Tobias has confirmed the following musicians to be part of the forthcoming Avantasia opus: Klaus Meine (Scorpions), Ripper Owens (ex-Judas Priest, Yngwie Malmsteen), Eric Singer (KISS), Michael Kiske (ex-Helloween), Jorn Lande (Masterplan), Bob Catley (Magnum), Sascha Paeth, Felix Bohnke (Edguy) and Alex Holzwart (Rhapsody, Sieges Even). The last guest star confirmed was Russell Allen, exceptional star vocalist of US Progressive Metal heroes Symphony X, who will be part of the new Avantasia chapters. W.A.S.P. RETURN WITH HARD-HITTING NEW ALBUM, BABYLON

New York, NY (November 9, 2009)—W.A.S.P. leader Blackie Lawless has never been afraid to speak his mind - and prod his loyal following while using thought-provoking imagery (both lyrically and on stage). And this is certainly apparent on the group’s fourteenth studio album overall, Babylon. Due to the album’s success overseas (charting high in almost every European country following its release on October 12th), the U.S. release of Babylon will occur much sooner than its originally-planned early 2010 release date, so that fans do not have to shell out extra money for the disc as an import. The CD will be available in the States in record stores on November 17th, with an official release date of December 8th.

The album - for which work began in February of this year - saw Lawless take a good look in the mirror about not only himself, but also the current state of the world. “As the recordings progressed, I found myself once again asking the question - ‘Who am I?’, but more specifically ‘Who am I now, and where am I in my life?’” explains Lawless. “You all know that I’ve said repeatedly that any art: be it movies, painting or music should reflect its maker’s vision of themselves, and the world around them at that precise moment of their lives. If they are indeed truthful with that art, it then gives the viewer or listener a pretty good snapshot inside the head and heart of the one creating it.”

That reading inspires powerful images. Enough for me to take those images of the 6th chapter of Revelation and the four horsemen of the apocalypse and write “Babylon’s Burning.” “Babylon’s Burning” is based on that imagery in the same way “Headless Children” was. It’s an overview of what we allow ourselves to become and the consequences that befall us for the poor choices we make.”

MANOWAR: More "Hell On Earth V" DVD details

On November 27, 2009, MANOWAR will release "Hell on Earth V" on double DVD and the first of the Hell On Earth series made exclusively in High Definition. The dvd will feature live, full-length versions of songs never before seen or heard on previous MANOWAR DVDs.

With brand new cover art by world famous artist Ken Kelly, "Hell on Earth V" was five years in the making and shot from over 150 camera angles, using helicopters, camera cranes, mounted cameras and hand-held HD cameras.

Highlights includes the Viking Encore set, recorded during MANOWAR's 2007 Demons, Dragons & Warriors European tour and featuring full-length versions of "Sons of Odin", "Glory, Majesty, Unity", "Gods of War", "Army of the Dead Part 2", "Odin" and "Hymn of the Immortal Warrior".

Other songs featured in their entirety from 2007 include, "Die for Metal", "Gloves of Metal" and "Mountains".

In addition, "Hell on Earth V" also includes footage from the very recent Death To Infidels Tour, during which MANOWAR headlined six of Europe's biggest festivals in Finland, France, Spain, Romania, Norway and Germany as well as the first ever open-air show in Moscow, Russia on Gorky Park. FEAR FACTORY’s Mechanize Confirmed For US Release

Candlelight Records today confirms February 9 as the American release date for Mechanize, the seventh studio album from Fear Factory. Mechanize features the highly reported reconciliation of vocalist Burton C. Bell with original guitarist Dino Cazares along with bassist Byron Stroud and journeyman drummer Gene Hoglan (Dethklok, Strapping Young Lad). The anticipated album also welcomes back keyboardist/producer Rhys Fulber (Front Line Assembly).

Mechanize is a full-fisted blast of passion and innovation that sounds like the missing link between 1995’s groundbreaking Demanufacture and 1998’s more texturally nuanced Obsolete. Songs like “Industrial Discipline” and “Powershifter” are crushing and colossal, melding fast and precise rhythms with vocals that pinwheel from raw and scathing to hauntingly melodic while “Fear Campaign,” which features harrowing spoken word passages, quickly segues into a showcase of punishing beats, rapid-fire riffs and ghostly keyboards. For the first time in years, the band’s industrial roots glimmer through its street-lethal metal, thanks in part to Fulber, who worked on Fear Factory's popular industrial remix albums Fear is the Mindkiller and Remanufacture.

“I didn’t want any of the soundscapes to sound natural,” says Bell. “I wanted them to be really mechanical because I wanted that aspect of Fear Factory to really shine again. I feel it kind of got dulled over and that’s the aspect that I really enjoyed a lot about Fear Factory. I was a huge fan of industrial music and still am. And you don’t hear much of that anymore these days.”

While Mechanize is instantly reminiscent of Fear Factory’s most potent moments of discovery, it’s hardly a stroll down the old assembly line. Through a combination of technological advancements and experience, Fear Factory have evolved like a computer virus, constantly reconfiguring itself to maximize its destructive impact. As work began on the album in early April, Bell, who resides in Pennsylvania, admitted he initially expected the years apart would leave him feeling awkward or uncomfortable. However, when Cazares picked him up at the airport his apprehensions melted like a block of ice on a hot electric motor. “After being with him a couple hours and talking to him everything was cool,” Bell says. Three months later the duo had a fresh batch of new songs written and more importantly a renewed confidence in their union.

“Our creative juices were really flowing the whole time,” says Cazares about the entire creative process. “All of a sudden we’d look at the clock and go, ‘Holy shit, it’s already 2:30 or 3:00 am.’ We just lost track of time because we were all bouncing ideas off each other really productively. We were adding touches right up until the final second to make the record as fresh as it could be.”

In the early ‘90s, many years before Killswitch Engage and Shadows Fall started combining strangled growls with catchy vocal melodies, and Static-X and Rammstein began blending pounding staccato riffs and jackhammer beats with electronic samples, Los Angeles future-thinkers Fear Factory were reinventing both death metal and industrial rock with an arsenal of sonic styles. The band, with Bell and Cazares at its core, landed a record deal based on a self-financed recording they made with producer Ross Robinson (Slayer). They immediately entered the studio to record their first proper album, Soul of a New Machine. Released in 1992, the album nearly transformed death metal overnight with its blend of throat-abrading screams and melodic vocals, and sci-fi lyrics about a machine that was invented to control and contain mankind.

“A lot of people didn’t get it and really ridiculed us,” Cazares recalls. “Because of the different vocals some people were like, ‘whoah, this is cool, this is different.’ And then other people went, ‘he’s singing melodically? That shouldn’t be on a fuckin’ death metal record.’ It took a while for more people to catch on to that style of singing, and now it’s everywhere.”

Fear Factory would release four critically acclaimed albums and two industrial remix EPs, selling well over a million albums in the process. In early 2002, following a grueling tour with Machine Head, the band imploded due to personal differences and sheer over-exertion. A revamped group, moving forward without Cazares, would go on release two more records over the next few years.

As time passed, the chance of a reunion between Bell and Cazares seemed less likely. Then in April, 2008, a full six years after they had last spoken, Bell, who at that time was touring with Ministry, ran into Cazares while in Los Angeles and the two reopened the lines of communication. “It just didn’t feel complete,” says Bell. “I realized that Dino and I were a real integral part of Fear Factory and we needed each other to make it work. Without the both of us it just lost that intensity.”

In the six years that have passed since the original Fear Factory splintered, lots of transformation has taken place. Bell has formed the gothic rock band Ascension Of The Watchers, and Cazares has put out two Divine Heresy discs and toured extensively. Stroud and Hoglan have recorded and toured with Strapping Young Lad, Zimmers Hole and Dethklok. For Bell, the myriad of projects have only provided creative ideas and inspiration for Fear Factory. He notes, “in this day and age you gotta keep busy. You can’t just rely on one band; something we’ve all learned from time and years of experience. Not only is it good to support yourself, but it also keeps you going creatively.”

“This is definitely a different chapter for us and I think it’s the best thing we’ve ever done,” Cazares adds. “Obviously, Burton and I have grown up and we’ve pretty much perfected what we do. More importantly, we’ve discovered why we so were good together in the first place. Our combination just works. All the ingredients and the elements that we had in the past, combined with what we’ve learned since being apart feels like putting on a new glove that still feels as good as an old glove.”

SHADOW GALLERY, widely considered a major and innovative force within the realms of progressive rock and metal, have returned with their 6th studio effort “Digital Ghosts”. Following up 2005’s “Room V” as well as the “Prime Cuts” compilation release of material from previous albums in 2007, “Digital Ghosts” will be released on October 26th, 2009 in Europe and November 3rd, 2009 in North America via InsideOutMusic. The band is also excited to announce that they filmed a video last month and it will be released in the coming weeks.

ARCH ENEMY Guitarist's ARMAGEDDON Album Reissues!

The second ("Embrace The Mystery") and third ("Three") albums from ARMAGEDDON — the Swedish melodic metal project of ARCH ENEMY guitarist Chris Amott — will get a proper and domestic release outside of Japan, where they originally came out back in the years 2000 and 2002, respectively. "Embrace The Mystery & Three" will be released as 2CD set with upgraded artwork, several bonus tracks and liner notes on November 16, 2009 in Europe and on January 26 in North America via Century Media Records.

Commented Chris Amott: "It is with great pleasure that I announce the first time ever release of these albums in Europe and the U.S.! Any fan of melodic hard rock and shred guitar playing should check this out — 'Embrace the Mystery' and 'Three' feature many great instrumental performances and epic songs! These two albums were recorded in 2000 and 2002 and have until only been available in Japan. I put a lot of work into these recordings at the time, so I am glad to see them come out!"

Originally formed in Halmstad, Sweden in 1997, ARMAGEDDON was launched as a melodic death metal act, with the band's debut album, "Crossing The Rubicon", released via the now-defunct W.A.R. Records label in Europe and Toy's Factory in Japan. Next to guitarist and mastermind Chris Amott, the album also featured drummer Peter Wildoer (DARKANE, MAJESTIC, now also in PESTILENCE) and bassist Martin Bengtsson, who both then moved on to join ARCH ENEMY, recording, releasing and touring ARCH ENEMY's 1998 "Stigmata" release. Chris revisited ARMAGEDDON with 2000's "Embrace The Mystery" album, once again released in Japan on Toy's Factory but never available internationally. This album presented a rather melodic and traditional metal approach and featured LAST TRIBE member Rickard Bengtsson on vocals, Dick Lövgren on bass (now member of MESHUGGAH but previously a touring bassist for bands like EUCHARIST, ARCH ENEMY and IN FLAMES) as well as ARCH ENEMY drummer Daniel Erlandsson (also previously active with EUCHARIST and IN FLAMES and currently a member of the reunited CARCASS). Following the album's release, ARMAGEDDON supported IN FLAMES and THE HAUNTED on a Japanese tour, which remain the only live performances for the band until now. In 2002 ARMAGEDDON released its third and (so far) last album exclusively in Japan again. Simply entitled "Three", it showcases ARMAGEDDON as a three-piece, with Chris Amott handling all vocal duties next to playing guitar as well as Daniel Erlandsson on drums and new bassist Tobias Gustafsson (EUCHARIST).

The "Embrace The Mystery & Three" 2CD set marks the long-overdue international release of these two jewels of modern Scandinavian melodic metal, not only including the full original versions of both albums packaged in a revamped version of the original "Embrace The Mystery" artwork by Niklas Sundin (DARK TRANQUILLITY, ARCH ENEMY, IN FLAMES), but also comes with six special bonus tracks (demo and rehearsal songs as well as cover versions of IRON MAIDEN and MERCYFUL FATE) and liner notes by Chris Amott. U.S. Tour Rumor: SLAYER, MEGADETH, TESTAMENT...

SLAYER, MEGADETH, TESTAMENT and HIGH ON FIRE are rumored to be teaming up for a U.S. tour starting in February 2010. It should be noted, however, that this information has not yet been corroborated by an official source.

SLAYER was forced to postpone its "Canadian Carnage" tour with MEGADETH, which was due to begin on November 8. In addition, the band has cancelled its appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", which had been set for this Wednesday, November 4. More information will be released shortly regarding the rescheduling of the Canadian dates, as well as the "Kimmel" appearance.

SLAYER's Tom Araya is currently under the care of a specialist for a back injury, thought to be related to his on-stage activity, and the physician has ordered an immediate surgical procedure, which was to take place in Texas on Tuesday morning (November 3).

MEGADETH will embark on a U.S. tour with MACHINE HEAD and SUICIDE SILENCE starting on November 14 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Devin Townsend Returns To Touring Life

Devin Townsend triumphantly returns with a greatly ambitious new endeavor under the DTP (Devin Townsend Project) moniker. HYPOCRISY: Experiencing Trouble w/ U.S. Immigration

Legendary Swedish death metallers HYPOCRISY have issued the following statement in regards to their upcoming tour with ENSIFERUM that starts on Friday, November 6th:

“Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are forced to stay home until U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services process and authorize our working visas. This is the first time the band has faced a situation like this and it’s extremely frustrating, as well as depressing, since the last thing we want to do is disappoint our loyal fans who have waited years to see us live in the US. We filed for our visas with plenty of time, but as some probably don’t know, the US government has changed its rules when it comes to visas issued to artists so it’s become tougher. Even if we have already toured the US numerous times.



As it stands now, we are on stand-by mode and waiting to receive the green light. We hope it’s just a few days before that happens, in the meantime we want to apologize to all the fans that planned on going to see us tear shit up live. We will do our best to re-join the tour as soon as possible!”

Long-running German power metal gods HELLOWEEN will release their Unarmed - Best Of 25th Anniversary album via Sony Music in co-op with SPV, on the following dates:

Machine Head Forced To Reschedule Headline Date

Fortunately, MACHINE HEAD were able to reschedule their only United States headlining show at The Crazy Donkey in Long Island, NY. The show is now scheduled for Thursday November, 12th.



On November 14th, MACHINE HEAD will join up with Megadeth in Grand Rapids, MI, through December 3rd in Oklahoma City OK. Immediately after MACHINE HEAD will join up with Metallica in Las Vegas on December 5th, for the west coast leg of their tour ending with a triumphant hometown show for both bands at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA.

World Painted Blood will be released on Tuesday, November 3rd in North America, and today - Monday, November 2nd - to the rest of the world. World Painted Blood will initially ship with four special collector's edition CD covers. Each of the four covers will display one-fourth of a continental map illustrated with human skulls and bones; when placed together, the four images form a complete and grisly map of the world.

All four of the initial CD packages will include a special blood-red, see-through top panel with the map displayed beneath it.

The World Painted Blood Deluxe Edition will have its own special layout of the map cover art and will be in a double-digipak housed in a blood-red, see-through plastic sleeve. The Deluxe Edition will include the World Painted Blood CD, the Playing With Dolls DVD, a 20-minute animated graphic novel featuring music from the album (including part of a new non-album song), and an expanded booklet. There is also a vinyl version available.

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN - With the release of Katatonia's new album, Night Is The New Day, right around the corner (November 10th US), Katatonia will answer questions sent in from fans at their show next week in London. In the lead up to the album's release, the band's MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter accounts have been overwhelmed by questions and inquiries from fans. Since the band has been on tour, they've been unable to answer most of these, so Peaceville Records has arranged to catch up with the band while they are in London. The band's answers will be filmed and posted on the Peaceville YouTube channel next week.

The media onslaught from SHADOWS FALL continues in the month of November as SHADOWS FALL takes over FUSE TV on demand. Starting November 2nd on FUSE TV on demand an exclusive interview with SHADOWS FALL will be available for viewing. The interview features the band speaking about their new album RETRIBUTION, their success in the metal world, starting their own label and much more.



The video for their first single “Still I Rise” is also available for viewing on FUSE TV on demand. After you have watched the video, you can go behind the scenes with SHADOWS FALL as the band give a no-holds barred commentary on their video.
