Reviewer: Metal-Rules.com UK Team

So is there anyone out there who isn't familiar with this band? Pardon the pun but I find that very hard to Accept... Yes that was bad and there may be more to follow, but for the one person out there that has never heard these guys I'll give you a brief run down, after which you may go and severely berate yourself.

Having their groundings in the late 60's but never actually really getting anywhere until around the late 70's when some stability was formed, and not having any commercial success until the early 80's, you could say these guys have been around for a while. That also makes some of us feel very old. For the newcomer let's just say this is pretty straight forward Hard Rock/Metal that is quite easy on the ears. Similarities may be drawn with a certain AC/DC, especially in the vocal and Guitar departments, but at times Accept do wander into a more Traditional Metal sound. Mark Tornillo came along the scene around 2009 after the band had a brief Hiatus, but unlike a lot of bands didn't bring too much upheaval to their signature sound as he pretty much sounds excactly like former vocalist Udo Dirkschneider, and also a bit like Brian Johnson of formerly mentioned AC/DC fame.

So what does this album bring to you the listener? Well pretty much what you would expect from Accept. They have never really gone out of their way to change things, and if you are a fan then that is a good thing. Most of the album is fairly mid paced easy listening Metal, the type of which you would throw on while having a few beers with friends, possibly to stop them from looking a little perplexed at the Death/Doom/Shoegaze/Thrash/Grind you where playing before. Conversations can be had over the top of it and none of them need be to intense, just good old rocking fun.

A lot of you old buggers (like me for instance) will love this, unless of course you have been stuck in Stalingrad with your Balls to the Wall, or have a Metal Heart that is incapable of just kicking back a notch. You certainly won't be playing Russian Roulette by buying it, probably won't get too Restless and Wild and definitely will not end up on Death Row. If you don't like it, then Objection Overruled I say, this is no game Breaker, just a nice respite from the harshness of today's reality.
