Air Raid is back with a new album this year titled “Across The Line”. The album is composed of 9 tracks. It’s their first album since new members Magnus Mild (guitar) and Frederik Werner (vocals) joined in. Their other guitarist, Andreas, says that this album is more guitar oriented than their previous, but, the other components aren’t left behind.
The band is well known for their heavy metal music. The solos in the album are phenomenal, they are pure power and give a lot of energy to the yet energetic tracks. The new vocalist also does a great job as this is his first album with the band. He has a very powerful voice which fits in the collective just right. The riffs are melodic with a powerful edge, as it is normal for the heavy metal genre. The solos give a specific touch to the already good mix of the band. In my opinion the solos are one of the essentials in the album, and if there was anything else or different from them, it would be a huge miss.
Even though the album is very good, it seems like it’s already been heard, like a deja-vu. It also can get a little dull in some moments and you need a break point to set your concentration fully back to the album.
For me, the album is pretty good and I give it a solid 4/5.
